Malawi leader, Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, has been appointed as International Development Association (IDA) Africa Champion to lead SADC member states.
President Chakwera was appointed champion at the just ended 21ste edition of the World Bank IDA Africa Heads of State Summit in Nairobi, Kenya.
The appointment marks a significant milestone in Malawi’s and the SADC region’s journey towards economic development and prosperity.
It is of note that as IDA Africa Champion, Dr. Chakwera will play a crucial role in shaping development policies and decisions, leveraging his exceptional leadership and expertise to drive growth and transformation in the SADC region.
This appointment is also a testament to Dr. Chakwera’s visionary leadership and commitment to the development of Malawi and the SADC region.
