PROPHET BUSHIRI APPLAUDS PRESIDENT CHAKWERA FOR EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP

Renowned religious figure, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, has commended President Lazarus Chakwera for his leadership style which he says has created systems that are functional and responsive to the needs of Malawians.

Writing on his official Facebook page, Bushiri said Chakwera’s government has created confidence in the systems that is bringing hope for the better despite the economic pressures exerted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

President Chakwera: Has earned praise for being a systems person

“Today, I want to register my profound delight in the current administration led by His Excellency President Lazarus Chakwera. He has demonstrated that he is a leader who understands that for a country to develop you need to put in place measures which different sectors need to contribute to progress of the nation.”

Prophet Bushiri drew contrasts between President Chakwera’s administration and the previous one of Peter Mutharika in taking heed of advice. He recalled the advice he rendered to Mutharika’s government three years ago which sadly fell on deaf ears resulting to an embarrassing loss during the Fresh Presidential election in 2020.

The 39-year old prophet also applauded President Chakwera for maintaining a healthy working relationship with Vice President Saulos Chilima since the two assumed office in 2020.

“President Chakwera’s healthy relationship with his Vice President, Right Honourable Dr Saulos Chilima, has also brought political stability–a critical variable that any country needs to attract needed investments both local and international,” he wrote.

In the same vein of attracting investment into Malawi, Prophet Bushiri called upon rich Malawians to support the Chakwera administration.

“I am calling all rich people in the country to support the current regime with the needed investments to help create jobs and, also, support the needy. I believe, as a country, we need to have a pool of local donors that our government should always turn to, before going to international donors. We are all what we have.”

Lately, Prophet Bushiri has been complementing government efforts in helping Malawians that have been affected by Cyclone Ana mainly in Chikwawa and Nsanje districts.
