In line with his dream of revolutionizing the agricultural sector, President Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera engaged potential investors towards the agriculture sector.
On Sunday, President Chakwera had fruitful discussions with Aziz Tayub, the CEO of Pound Stretcher im the United Kingdom.
Communicating through his Facebook page, President Chakwera said he is spending his time in the United Kingdom discussing with various potential investors to invest in Malawi.
He wrote: “Investors are among key stakeholders I have engaged on my UK tour. Earlier on yesterday (Sunday), I met Mr Aziz Tayub, owner and CEO of renowned chain store Pounder”

President Chakwera revealed that during the meeting Tayub expressed interest to invest agricultural sector particularly in value addition of the agricultural produce to enhance exports.
“The businessman and his associates pointed out potential areas of investments in line with my administration’s agenda to revolutionalise the agricultural sector though value addition and securing the markets”
The meeting with Tayub was one of many meetings the President has held with various captains of industries in the United Kingdom.
