Amidst a contentious issue surrounding Immigration boss, Brigadier General Charles Kalumo, a lot of people have been weighing in on the issue with respective ideas.
Below is one of the sentiments that supports Brigadier Kalumo and his style of leadership.
Ku Immigration uko.
Penapake how the officers are behaving, somehow, is leading some of us to conclude that there are forces behind their actions.
We read that some senior Immigration Officers met with Homeland Security principal secretary, Erica Maganga, to air their concerns. We know this is true because both government spokesperson Moses Kunkuyu and Maganga’s boss, Steve Kayuni, confirmed the development. In fact, Kunkuyu said they are waiting for a report from the Maganga because the matter at hand is manageable at the ministry level.
Now even before their bosses’ responds to their issues, why are they rushing to industrial action? We don’t have evidence to show that the Ministry has failed to handle their concerns. Do you?
Even worse, who—at this age—announces an industrial action without following the due process of the law? We know there are procedures laid out for organizing a legitimate industrial action. Why are these so impatient that they could forego all the necessary steps of an industrial action?
Chilipo chilipo.
