Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General Martha Chizuma has been arrested this morning by police. According to her lawyer Martha Kaukonde, police arrested her around 4 am. Kaukonde says she is still verifying details and circumstances around the case but says she understands the arrest is in relationship to the leaked audio clip in which Chizuma allegedly spoke to a third party matters around the fight against corruption in the country.
The ACB boss is currently at Namitete police station.
